Organ Donor
Posted by jen February 3rd, 2008 in Jeneral.Cellular Memory in Organ Transplants is a really interesting read about documented cases where translated organs give the recipient takes on traits of the donator. 47 year old man giggles like his 14 year old donor girl. Lesbian meat eater goes straight and vegetarian. Just fascinating.
Another link if you dont think thats cool enough. It has more in depth info on many of the cases above, and many more.

Oh yeah, a friend of mine got a heart transplant a few years ago… he was Cleveland clinics 1000th… but now he loves Arby’s (roast beef) and has a few weird traits that definitely are not him… after meeting the family of the donor, he found out they were the donors traits… it was wild! Even manorisms!
Jen, I’ve seen snippets on TV about this phenomenon, but never looked into it. Those links are mind-blowing! I wonder if either of my grandparents were organ donors; if they were, it would be interesting to post info on one of the sites that helps donor families and recipients find each other.
Now, grandpa had a donated heart valve. It was a pig’s valve, though.
He never did eat pork after that, though. It was his way of saying thanks.
