I’ve been busy wrapping my head around the opensource CMS coolness of Joomla in rebuilding my bead site, so I just haven’t been out scouring for crap.

A friend of the familyregretfully died early friday morning so I will be heading back to Springfield for the showing.

He had a rare conditionthat basically has the kick of parkinsons’ with a stiff alzheimer’s chaser and the bonus that not even most specilists know about it. He just bascially withered away locked inside his own body. Just breaks my heart. He was such a cool guy.

I wouldn’t be an “arteest” if not for him, and he wasn’t even my art teacher in school despite only living six blocks from my parents. His family and ours were friends, and we hung out over there often, and got to see his work all the time. When my art teacher was a complete wash (I knew more than he did and I got an F and the talentless blonde got an A) Russ was my inspiration when he invited me to come to adult art classes he was teaching in the evenings.

If not for him I wouldn’t have pursued design school certainly.
