Boobies and Spatzle
Posted by jen April 1st, 2004 in Jeneral.It’s occurred to me I’ve become somewhat obsessed with spotting the women on TV with one boob smaller than the other. (Usually their left one)
Now, I don’t do this to real people in public - just when I watch TV. I don’t think about other people’s boobs. Hell, I barely even think about my own, I mean, they aren’t going anywhere, right?
I even wondered if my electronic fixation only it appeared that way because I sit to the left of the tv, thus to the side of thier right, but no, in fact it doesn’t matter where I sit. There are alot of lopsided stars who paid alot of money to have a bigger right boob.
And… speaking of big right boobed people, if I hear Britney Spears’ “Toxic” one more time I’m gonna scream. Every casino in Las Vegas has it on thier playlist. That opening orchestra riff is so distinctive. At one point I counted I heard it 6 times in one day. Gag.
They were filming more Celebrity Poker Showdown’s at the Palms while I was in town, and were giving away tickets to watch, but Mr Man wasn’t interested despite we watched Nicole from Mad TV beat the living crap out of everyone with glee last time.
I walked Las Vegas casinos trying to see if the video slot machine that was going to use my 50’s patterns had in fact been made after all. I had head from the designer that it had been shelved temporarily right before the big gaming show in October, but I hoped things had changed. (pout) I wanted my own slot machine!
My cat is so clingy after getting back I think I have a black 9 pound hair ball.
The Hofbräuhaus in Vegas is kicks ass. Then I come home to find out we HAVE one less than 30 minutes away just over the river from Cincinnati, in the amusement headquarters of the river, Newport, KY. D’oh. The local one doesn’t seem to have spatzle according to the menu oddly enough, and really what is German food without spatzle anyway? Nothing I say!

You know, I don’t see spatzle on many menus at German restaurants, even spoiled with as many good ones as we have in Milwaukee / Wisconsin. I’ve no idea why that is, it’s not like it’s hard to make. What are you doing for Easter? I’m making Kassler Rippchen and there will be spatzle…

My right is slightly bigger than my left but I am not famous! What gives?
By the way - so you took tons of photos and I assumed you saved them on your iPod via the Belkin Media card reader. What was that like? Did you lose any data? I hear stories about people losing data which is why I haven’t purchased on yet.

but it worked flawlessly for me, the three times I used it.
What kind of dishes are Kassler Ripchen and Spatzle?
Kassler Rippchen is a pork rib roast that has been smoked, and spatzle is a sort of dumplingish noodleish thing - you make a batter out of flour & eggs and a few little things, then press it though a colander or large-bore potato ricer into boiling water. Very, very yummy.
Mmmmm, that does sound yummy! Damn, now I’m hungry, lol.
