I'm just sick of TechTV repeating the same segments over and over and over! It seems like they keep giving out the same Windows tips. They totally ruined Call for Help when they put Perilo and the Screen Savers hasn't been the same in a while. I liked the station a lot better when it was ZDTV.

Yeah, I think Mike's right; I've only started watching in the last two months but it seems to me that there's an odd disjunction -- they all come across as Mac or Linux geeks that are made to talk about Windows all day because the suits say that's the market. It's kind of the opposite of musicals, where the surface is all sweetness and good but there's always wierd subtextual eruptions of darkness. Only on the ScreenSavers, it's all ucky Windows stuff until the hosts sneak in a Mac plug of goodness and light.

Or maybe I should just go get some more coffee.

Someone posted this over at MacMerc.. maybe the tide is turning at TechTV (color me optimistic ;-)?

Leo uses an iBook on set
*	Yoshi, TSS's Master-PC-Mod guy said the first thing on his christmas wish list was a TiBook
*	Megan Morrone & her husband both use Macs
*	Patrick is willing to TRY a Mac!
*	The iMac and iPod both placed on TTV's top 20 Tech Gifts list.
*	Fresh Gear gave the iBook a high recommendation in their review of inexpensive laptops
*	David Coursey (ZDNet) is now a Mac fan

While I have to agree with you on the show in general, I think you may have been a bit too hard on the kid. :-) I thought his work was actually pretty decent for a 16 year old. I thought that segment was the one bright spot of the hour (unfortunately).

Yeah, Tech TV is still obnoxious when it comes to Macs, but at least Jim Louderback isn't on Fresh Gear anymore spewing his nonsense. ;-)

Oh, I noticed the door open, so I thought I'd step in. Nice place. :-)
