Posted by jen October 1st, 2002 in Uncategorized.HIGH: Listerine is giving away free PocketPaks rubber keychains/holders for your strips containers on some bottles - sweet! It’s cut out to match the door so you don’t even have to slid it out to get to them.
LOW: The ONLY down side of OSX is that most scanner makers don’t support it yet! (And microtek looks like it has no intetion on supporting my X6) . Oh sure you can scan with them all in classic mode, except - I no longer have OS9 installed.
I wiped the hard drive this last time a month or so ago I didn’t reinstall it (nothing but osx now) and it (9) doesn’t want to install now, and I really dont want to install it (9) for ONE stinking little thing anyway…
BUT as of the wee hours today I finally can scan again - but only by attaching a usb cable to MrMan’s Win2000 machine and installing the win version software for it from the webpage.
At least it’s easy. I have a extra long USB AtoB cable anyway and he has a front USB port, so it’s not like it’s hard at least. I just hook it up when I want to scan I guess, then put the cable back away - it’s just so humiliating.
This will do until I buy a new scanner. Not a Microtek mind you, even though I love the last two scanners I’ve bought from them but they don’t support me, I won’t suport them anymore. At least I dont scan much anyway.

Oh yea? Check out what I have to do to scan.
One day, the scanner stopped working with my crappy old Winblows ME pc. Don’t know why, can’t figure it out, screw it, I just hooked it up to the laptop, also Winblows ME.
Problem is, I don’t have a network card for the laptop, so I have to actually email the file over to the Mac to work with it. On top of that, the lack of said network card means the laptop can’t use my DSL, so I actually have to use a dialup connection, and I am not a patient man.
Needless to say, until I get this taken care of, I don’t do much scanning.
BTW, I still have 9.2 installed, just in case, but I would rather shove bamboo under my fingernails than start up Classic. If a program does not run in OS X, I don’t use it.
p.s. - I have one of those Pocket Pack keychains and I love it!
Howdy, I just came across your site the other day (random following of links, I don’t even remember how) and since I try not to be too much of a lurker, I thought I’d say Hi.
I’m also a Mac user - just upgraded to OSX - took a little while not to hate it, but your nifty lady icons made it much more fun. I’m crossing over…
As for a video of you dog doing Wrestlemainia, I can’t think of anything BETTER. Where do we find the footage?
